Guidelines for Thumbnail Sketches

Do
bulletRemember: This is an advertisement (a "teaser") not a report or defense of your work
bulletUse one page only; one minute to present
bulletLead with title, researcher(s) and advisor(s)
bulletGive motivation (why are you doing this; e.g., nanoparticles may offer important advantages in cancer therapy)
bulletDo give a very brief synopsis of results (we have demonstrated that we can deliver therapeutic agents to selected sites in cells)
bulletDo leave them wanting more info (if you to find out how we do it, visit my poster)
bulletUse as little text as possible and that should be in bullets, not paragraphs
bulletUse eye-catching graphics (photos) if possible
bulletUse a clear simple graph if you like, but only if it can be explained in one sentence.

Do Not
bulletDo not use more than one page or one minute.  More is definitely not better.
bulletDo not use lots of text.
bulletDo not give lots of data or tables.
bulletDo not give an equipment or process flowchart
bulletDo not try to give a condensed version of your poster.
bulletDo not try to be thorough.  You want to leave unanswered questions that you can answer at your poster.
