Project Team 2 Overall Objectives

To increase understanding of processing and reaction environments involving supercritical and near supercritical systems

In a way that

·        Develops means to control/modify pathways and develops predictive models in
-         transition metal, zeolitic, enzymatic and surface-mediated catalysis
-         nanoparticle colloids
-         use of
CO2 as a carbon feedstock

·        Provides bases for reactor design and definition of specific processes

·        Provides novel extraction methods for biopharmaceuticals

So that chemical and mechanistic understanding developed here can be applied to identify new sustainable processes as candidates for commercialization.
