Synergy Between Cooling and Carbon Dioxide

   Ever wonder why a soft drink tastes so much better when its cold? A recent article in Chemical and Engineering News (January 7, 2002) explained the reason. A cold carbonated beverage stimulates certain cool-sensitive neurons and gives the impression that the beverage is more refreshing.
