Figure VI.1 shows the
organization chart for the Center. There have been no significant changes to
the proposed organizational structure since November 1, 1999 though some
specific personnel changes have been made. Dr. Everett I. Baucom filled the
position of Deputy Director on January 1, 2000, after 30 years with E. I. du
Pont de Nemours. Several support staff
were added, including an administrative assistant, an accountant, and a
computer specialist to assist with updating our website and with
teleconferencing. There were several
leadership changes in the thrust areas.
V. N. Kabadi assumed leadership of Thrust Area B, partly in an attempt
to provide NCA&T a stronger role in the Center. J. M. DeSimone and G. W. Roberts temporarily joined R. M. Kelly
as leaders of Thrust Area D.
